Social media could be greatly benefit the advertisement aspect for retailers. Social media applications such as Snapchat and Facebook are used by multiple groups of people and using such applications would help retailers reach new consumers of all ages, sex, and demographic. Advertisement on such applications could help retailers solve delemas such as cart abandonment with a simple click reminder. Advertisements could even persuade consumers to purchase merchandise through said retailer at that moment versus when browsing through a local store.
